Dr. Warren is a licensed Psychologist and a member of the California Psychological Association. Dr. Warren has sixteen years of experience in the mental health field. She holds a Doctorate degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Education. Dr. Warren works with children, adults, couples and families. She leads the Beach Psychology practice with her gentle care.

Everyone has within them the ability to attain personal growth by gaining insight into their unique strengths. During times of stress, this inner resilience can be called upon to guide them in discovering purpose and meaning in their lives, improving interpersonal relationships, and adapting to healthier patterns of relating to others. I take a collaborative, yet challenging approach in assisting children, adults, couples, and families on their path towards positive change. I use a solution-focused exploration of current struggles to help them break unhealthy patterns and develop coping skills and a sense of hope and strength.

I have a particular interest in working with mothers experiencing post-partum depression and providing ongoing support for parents and families. This includes working with adolescents during their self-discovery and transition into adulthood. Struggles with independence and self esteem make this a particularly difficult time for young people.

In addition, I also work assisting those with depression, anxiety, phobias, eating disorders, ADHD, LGBTQ identity issues, chemical dependency, anger management, divorce, sexuality, and relationship issues. I also provide psychological testing services.

We have the capacity to influence and create events. My clinical work is guided by helping you resolve internal conflict that will lead to a more gratifying life through increasing interpersonal effectiveness, authenticity, and meaning. I use brief solution-focused therapeutic approaches to address anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. I also focus on addiction recovery and on helping clients heal from their past.

We will approach pain and emotional dysregulation as paths leading to growth and self-discovery. As you become adept at better navigating these pre-existing obstacles, you will discover a greater capacity for and skill at living a healthy and balanced life. I will work with you to emphasize self-worth, empowerment, and insight to help you understand the genesis of your symptoms and how to best begin to heal them.

Finding the therapist best suited to you is critical. It is vital to feel supported, heard, and respected. I encourage you to meet with me to see if I can be this support for you. Therapy can be transformative, and with my approach, people are able to adapt and grow. I have witnessed moods changing, energy increasing, improved efficacy at work, and improved physical health. Let me support you as you develop new coping mechanisms and see improvements in your life as quickly as possible.

I am a certified Brainspotting Phase 1 clinician.  Brainspotting is a brain-based therapy that accesses unprocessed trauma and that has been shown to expedite healing.

I completed coursework for my doctorate at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I earned my master’s degree in Psychology at Mount Saint Mary’s University, and my bachelor’s from The American University of Paris.
